Nashville - 5

Saturday, 2 July, 2011
From Mike.
We moved from the caravan park to a motel providing better access to downtown Nashville for the coming 4th of July celebrations.
On the way we stopped at McDonalds and were approached by a guy named Jim who wanted to know about our travels. He is one, among many, to ask us about our travels when they see the backpacks.
Jim lives in Ohio and gave us his contact details in case we pass by. He is also a judge.....and offered his services just in case we ever need one!!
Today we took the opportunity to buy wine at a liquer store that had everything but beer. Wine shops are a scarcity  here. They also sold fair dinkum ‘Moonshine’ made in them thar hills of eastern Tennessee. It smells like dueling banjos! And comes in a screw top jar (see photo)
We went for dinner at the  ‘John A’ restaurant just across the road. We are staying at the Guesthouse Inn and Suites on  Music Valley Drive (which runs alongside the ‘Briley Parkway’ (highway out of Nashville).
The John A has live music and food – the ribs were fantastic.
