Buffalo

July 12th, 13th, 14th

Here we are in Buffalo NY with excellent accommodation at the Comfort Suites on Main Street right in the heart of downtown. The visitor information centre is next door and we have brochures and maps and are ready to explore.

Our suite has a fridge so we head up to the nearest shopping area and stock up with fruit and salad items (and a little wine of course).

The self guided walking tour takes you through all the highlights of the city. Lots of old historic buildings again. The most impressive (and biggest) the Buffalo City Hall building. There is an observation deck on the 28th floor which has an awesome view of the whole city, river and over into Canada.

We sampled a local beer at the …………. Yes, I tied a beer (in a shot glass) but only because it was advertised as chocolate flavoured. It did taste like chocolate but the beer bit didn’t do it for me.

We spent the afternoon at the shopping mall and found the most interesting gift shop. Mike had trouble dragging me out. I got plenty of cheeky souveniers....wish I could have got more.
And on our last evening here we attended our first baseball game. The game, which went for nearly four hours, and a tee shirt for only $11.50. What a great night out. And although they are not having the best seasosn the Bisons managed a win for us.
